liebe leutz, ich hätte da mal ein winziges anliegen, ich muss für die schule, für englisch euch ein bissel über tierversuche ausquetschen
natürlich auf englisch, wenn das nich eure lieblingssprache ist, dann lasst es ruhig XD

I'm not very interested in these things, but I know some persons don't get the good thing of animal testing and do wrong things - but not all. That's important to say.

I don'T understand what you mean. If you mean should they belong to their natural enviroment, then the answer is yes. But sometimes it's not possible. For me, I cannot build a canalization for my rat to keep it's natural enviroment.

wieso stoffe an tieren testen wo klar ist, dass sie tötlich sind. das ist mord!
diese ganze testerei kann noch lustig werden, besonders da schon verschiedensten tierarten menschliche gene eingeplanzt wurden. man stelle sich vor was für krankheiten sich da entwickeln können, die dann auf den menschen übertragbar sind. oder andersrum...
bald infizieren wir uns durch den verzerr von tieren mit krankheiten, die zuvor vom mensch auf das tier übertragen wurden...wie wäre es denn mit einem hackfleischbrötchen, aids gibt es gratis dazu, hehehe^^
ich sage wir haben es verdient!

It's cruel, it's dangerous, and the animals suffer. Well, I don't know a lot, but it's enough to dislike animal testing.

No. Surely not.

It's the only live they know, isn't it? But if they wold know, how live in freedom is like, I would say: Circusses: No. Zoos: How big are their cages?

Yes. A cat and a guinea pig ^^

Erm... no.

i think, their lifes in zoos are much better than in circusses but in the wildness, they'll be much happier. but if an animal is born in a zoo, it doesn't know life in nature and so its happy there.

never...once i saw such a scarf (schal?!) at my boyfried's house...his mom loves furs...na ja, das ding hatte noch köpfe und pfötchen, waren so fretchenmäßige viecher...ich fand das so grausam, konnt mir das nich angucken (eigentlich wollt ich das ja auf englisch schreiben, aber hab so lange keins mehr gehabt, klappt nich mehr so *g*)

sometimes...in zoos in great areas which are nearly as their natural homes and when they've been grown up in the zoo and get the right treadment (hoffe das is nu richtig) then they can be happy.
in circusses it's a bit more complicated because of the small cages and so on, but if the people there are nice to them and feed them enough and all these things, they can be happy, if they doesn't know the freedom of wildernis

no, i have had a little kitten once when i was a little child but sadly not for long, we have had to give it away :-( and my stepfather does not allow pets here though...

difficult question...yes an no...if things where testet, that does not hurt or torture the animals i would say it's partly ok, otherwise i would say no

no, i was when i was 8 years old or so, but only a year, so it doesn't count, i think

yes, sure or at least in such...hab das wort für naturschutzparks vergessen, sowas was es halt auch viel in australien und afrika gibt, wo die eigentlich in ihrem natürlichen lebensraum sind, nur halt bissl geschützt vor jägern und wilderern und ab und an auch mal nen arzt kommt, wenn die krank sind, wo die aber wirklich viele tausend hektar ohne zäune und so haben...

Gefühle machen den Menschen fehlerhaft, aber ohne Gefühle wären wir keine Menschen...

...often you could safe a lot of liefes (but people never see this fact - they always think there would only exist bad sides of animal testing -- and it would only be used in the cosmetic-industry and not in the pharmacy)

Nope and I'd never wear one because I don't like it.

In my opinion there's a huge difference between zoos and circusses.
I think that 'cirus' animals aren't 'happy' because they don't live in their natural environment but in small cages.
For example: Dancing bears. Because of the force (training and unnatural standard of living) of making them dancing they get psychical damages. That's cruel.
As far as I know animals in zoos have a better life because the owner of the zoo has to threat the animal good.

To be honest I think it's necessary. History shows that testings husthled medicine on (Though there weren't only testing on animals but on humans as well.).
But I'm not okay with animal testing at cosmetic. That's unnecessary.

Well, the most are done for medicine, although nearly every animal test is kind of cruel. But is there any (real) alternative?

Na ja, einige im Zoo eventuell. Kommt drauf an, wie gut der angelegt ist und ob genug Tiere einer Art (wenn es denn keine absoluten Einzelgänger sind) zusammen sind.
Ich bin nicht generell gegen Zoos. Für einige Tiere ist es nötig, um die Art zu erhalten, weil sie keinen natürlichen Lebensraum mehr haben...

öhhhm...ich antworte lieber auf deutsch XD habs nicht so mit englisch und vernünftigen sätze zustande bringen *g* verstehen tu ich zwar viel aber nya...das wars dann auch *lol*

in verschiedenen dokumentationen konnte ich feststellen das oftmals haustiere die auslauf bekommen (gößtenteils katzen) einfach gefangen und verschleppt werden. manchmal sind die labormenschen so dreist und klauen sie aus dem vorgarten...
die tiere werden aufs grausamste mit den tests für make-up oder medikamenten etc. gequält und sterben oft dabei.
sie werden in kleinen käfigen zusammengezwängt und sehehn das tageslicht meist nie wieder wenn sie einmal gefangen wurden. aber es gibt auch organisationen die versuchen soetwas zu unterbinden und die tiere auch befreien...

ich verabscheue menschen die pelze tragen und würde niemals im leben soetwas auch nur berühren oder in dessen nähe kommen.
wenn ich menschen mit pelzen auf der straße sehe lasse ich immer eine angewiederte bemerkung los (die die leute hoffentlich immer hören) wie zb.: igitt...die lebt in der steinzeit und muss sich mit totem tier schmücken. wie wiederlich...etc.
auch stars die soetwas tragen könnte ich niemals bewundern *angeekelt ist*

die meisten tiere in zoos und in zirkussen sind sehr unglücklich. sie werden nicht ertgerecht gehalten und bekommen nicht genug freiraum oder das was für ein glückliches leben notwendig währ. dazu müssen sie in zirkussen kuststücke aufführen die tzeilweise wieder der natur des tieres sind.
zum glück gibt es jedoch auch ausnahmen.

ja ich habe zwei katzen einen papageien und fische. der papagei hat einen riesigen käfig in dem er sogar fliegen kann und die fische große aquarien.
die katzen sind reine wohnungskatzen. sie waren nie etwas anderes gewohnt und vermissen deshalb auch den auslauf nicht... wir haben versucht mit ihnen spazieren zu gehen oder sie nach draußen zu lassen doch dort haben sie nur panische angst und wollen zurück.

niemals! auf keinen fall! menschen dioe soetwas tun sind wiederwärtig und verabscheuungswürdig.

ichg war es für zwei jahre... heute esse ich nur noch fleisch wenn ich weiß das die tiere aus artgerechter haltung kamen.

5. Sometimes? When there are people, who know that they have to take care for the animals.
6. Yes! I've got a dog, a cat and two turtles. (They are all really happy, by the way.)
7.No. You can't buy things wich are made with the blood of animals. (Very dramatically said ...)
8. I was. But then I became too weak and my doctor said I have to eat meat. Now I do once a week.
9. They really should, but there is no natural environment at all. Because in the cities live a lot of animals, and those cities ARE the natural environment now. (For examples those doves.)

no, I do not think that it is necessary furs to carry

that cannot say one exactly many animals to know it not differently and in the liberty not clearly would come. There are only few zoos, in which the animals have to small enclosures

yes, I have an own horse, two nymphensittiche and a rabbit

it is not easy to say, is it right or not. but i think for meaningful like vital vaccines is it already ok.

no but i didn't eat much meat, because i didn't like it. I love chicken :D

define natural enviroment.
since man thinking, they hunt animals for eating. For us is a life from a rat not more than the life of the chicken which scorches in my fryer.

Hmm wieso fragst du des nich auf deutsch und übersetzt es dann für dich?
Naja gut...weil da nich die bedingung gestellt wurde das auch in englisch zu Antworten werd ich deutsche Antworten hin schreiben...
(ich versteh es etwas besser als das ich es richtig schreiben kann also grammatisch...mein ich bin ich in englisch ne Niete)

Ich halte davon gar nichts.

Naja ich muss gestehen... ich habe einen echten Mantel...Wildleder mit Fell kragen Also so richtig echt isser...is aber auch schon ca. 22 Jahre alt...
Als meine Oma gestorben ist haben wir ja ihren Haushalt auflösen müssen und ich habe ihn dann praktisch an mich genommen als Erinnerung...auch bin ich die einzige aus der Familie die ihre Statur hat so das er mir passt...sie hat dafür lange sparen müssen und sich dann damals für 2000 DM geleistet...danach hing er nur im Schrank...also ich hab sie nie damit gesehen...aber ich trag ihn jeden Winter. Das ist die beste Jacke bzw Mantel den ich je hatte denn das Teil hält immer warm...sowas hab ich auch zuvor noch nie gehabt.
Ja und gestern war ich bei einem Trödler Laden...das ist so ein Laden der seine Ware aus Haushaltsauflösungen bezieht...und da hab ich auch einen wunderschönen Mantel gesehen...das war echt so ein "Wow" teil...der hat einen auf den ersten Blick umgeworfen...es war ein echter Fuchs Pelz Mantel...der ist auch schon Uralt gewesen (also das innen Futter liess auf die 70 er Jahre schliessen... er hat mir nun nicht gepasst...und auch wenn wäre er warscheinlich sogar gebraucht zu teuer gewesen...ich denke nicht das es Notwendig gewesen wäre sowas zu kaufen...aber ich muss gestehen...hätte er mir gepasst und wäre nicht zu teuer gewesen bzw hätte ich das Geld gehabt wäre ich warscheinlich schwach geworden...
Ich würd aber nie in ein Geschäft gehen das neue Pelze Anbietet...Ich hatte früher ganz in der nähe eins wo ich wohnte aber da bin ich immer mit entsetzen dran vorbei und fands auch nicht interessant mir die Teile im Schaufenster anzuschauen...
Ich denke wenn man so ein Teil Erbt oder es praktisch aus 2 ter Hand kauft ist das nicht mehr ganz so schlimm...er wurde einmal neu gekauft...aber das war ich nicht...man kann das nur Stoppen wenn die Nachfrage dort aufhört wo die Teile neu verkauft werden...aus zweiter Hand verhindert man nur das unnütze entsorgen dieser Felle praktisch...wenns weggeschmissen wird am Ende wozu ist dann das Tier dann mal vor 2 Jahrzehnten gestorben...wenn die sachen noch gut sind...es ist ja nicht so das die Tiere dafür hingerichtet werden damit man die Pelze im Second Hand Laden erwirbt...die werden ja dafür verkauft damit Leute die viel Geld haben das Geld dort hinein investieren...
Jedenfalls hab ich dann gestern einen unechten Mantel von meinem Vater bekommen,der dort auch war...der passte und is auch eigentlich genau meine Farbe...hält auch gut warm...aber eben nicht so wie der von meiner Oma.

Kommt drauf an,welches Tier...in einem Zirkus bestimmt nich aber im Zoo kann ich mir schon vorstellen das es da einige Tiere gibt die sich wohl fühlen...aber eben nicht alle (besonders die nicht die ziemlich großen auslauf in freier Natur normalerweise hätten) Und ich denke wenn die tiere da rein geboren werden vermissen die nix anderes...aber wenn Vögel gefangen werden und dann in ein Zoo gesperrt werden ist das schon was anderes (So wie Papageien)

Oh ja...2 Katzen und 1 Hamster...aber das waren auch schon mal mehr...also als ich noch zu Hause gewohnt hab,bei meiner Mom da hatten wir einen Hauszoo...praktisch

Nein...ich ess praktisch nur Fleisch was man nicht mehr als Tier erkennt ...
Ich sollte mal Schweine Füße machen (war eine Aufgabe meiner Mutter die ich während ihrer Abwesenheit erledigen sollte) Da war die Haut noch dran und man erkannte halt die füße...ich hab die ganze Zeit geheult bei der zubereitung *tat mir so leid das ich das in den ofen schieben musste und so* und hab hinterher auch nichts davon gegessen

Ich denke das Tiere sich mitunter arrangieren müssen mit den Menschen...es gibt auch Tiere die sind gerne bei dem Menschen (sofern sie gut behandelt werden) sowie Hund und katzen...und auch Hamster können schmuse Tiere sein...*kommt immer auf den Charakter des Tiers an*
Jedenfalls sicherlich sollten Große Tiere in ihrem Reich leben dürfen...und meinetwegen auch kleine...aber ich denke denen gehts dann auch nicht viel besser (Hunde zB) Wenn man so hört wieviele Hunde in anderen Ländern rumstreichen in der Stadt und verwahrlosen...und einge der Touristen sich teilweise derer annehmen...also ich denke das ist so eine Sache wo es keine richtige Antwort zu gibt.

Ich finde es aber unverantwortlich Papageien zu halten...die sind keine Zucht Tiere...die werden gefangen da sie in Gefangenschaft nicht brühten in der Regel...naja dementsprechend sind sie zwar teuer aber die aus dem bekannten Freiraum zu fangen bzw ihnen die Freiheit zu nehmen die sie kennen und dann im Käfig einzusperren find ich nich gut...Ich ärgere mich sowieso ständig über die Menschen die Meinen ein Käfig wäre groß genug für Vögel zum Leben...ich kann es nicht verstehen wie einige Vogel halter ihre Tiere nicht frei Fliegen lassen und es mit der Größe des Käfigs entschuldigen..."is genug platz...bla,bla,bla" *hab da so eine Bekannte die so ist* für einen Vogel gibt es nie genug Platz...meine Mom hat auch Ziegensittiche...und die dürfen in der Wohnung auch Fliegen...sie hat für die einen riesigen Käfig (wirklich so 2,5 m mal 1,5 m-geschäzt) aber trozdem müssen die Vögel noch zusätzlich Platz zum Fliegen haben...und das bekommen sie auch (und das sind Vögel die nur ein wenig größer wie ein Wellensittich sind)
Also damit will ich sagen...wenn der Lebensraum Artgerecht ist,ists kein Problem...aber bei Vögeln...ists halt schwer das einzuhalten... und ich finde es schlimm wenn Vögel extra aus der Freiheit gefangen werden um dann diesen riesigen und fast unbegrenzten Lebensraum gegen einen kleinen beengten Lebensraum eintauschen müssen...ich denke nicht das es Vögeln in Freiheit schlecht geht..(bzw dort wo sie halt auch hingehören...nich so von wegen einen Tropischen Vogel hier in Deutschland frei zu lassen...das wäre auch nicht richtig)...aber dort wo sie normalerweise Leben ists wohl doch besser als in irgendeiner Wohnung...und das gillt besonders für die größeren Vögel...

Today it is the most used way to test new medicine and some experimental cure methods. And of course the whole genetics programm is tested on the animals.
There are also some organizations that not only "protest" but try to find real alternatives to animal testing.

No, i find them somewhat kitschy. -_- But I would like to have a decent leather coat.

Well, i think, an animal doesn't need as much to be happy as a man. If it is healthy and has enough to eat, it's happy. So, if the zoo or the circuss can obtain this 2 things, i think, the animal will be happy. The problem is of course, that to stay healthy an animal needs more room or a pack/herd, which a small zoo or a circus not always can provide.

I don't think there is a clear "Yes/No"-answer. If an animal can be healthy and bread in the new enviroment, than it's ok. You could think, it's a new "natural enviroment" for the kind. Also there are some kinds, that don't have their original enviroment anymore.
And for me is my own kind - the people - more important than each other. If it goes "Men's need vs. animals need" people's need always is first.

3. Dass die Versuche für medizinische sowie für kosmetische Zwecke gemacht wird. Ich glaube es, werden hauptsächlich Nagetiere "verwendet" wie z.B. Ratten und Mäuse. Ich meine aber, dass auch andere Tiere darunter leiden müssen, wie zum Beispiel Katzen.

I don't think so, especially in circusses but sometimes it's neccessary to keep them in good zoos (which are engaged in protection of species and wants to help them more than to present them for entertainment.

Ach ja, zu Pelzgegnern: Woher könnt ihr bei einem Pelz wissen, ob das Tier vorher umgebracht oder eines natürlichen Todes gestorben ist? Man kann auch einem Tier, was auf normale Art und Weise gestorben ist, das Fell abziehen...
Und wegen denen, die Tierversuche in jedem Fall verurteilen:
Stellt euch halt der Pharmaindustrie zur Verfügung, dass sie das Zeug an euch testen. Und ich will euch mal sehn, wenn ihr Nebenwirkungen bekommt und davon nichts in der Packungsbeilage steht weil das Medikament nicht getestet wurde.

Already quite a lot and I guess I will get to know almost everything there is to know in the future. My university courses will sooner or later force me to do it.

No furs, never. I cannot understand why people wear fur, as there is fake fur that looks even prettier, is cheaper and it wasn't needed to kill for it.
Killing can be prevented and you still can get the perfect fur look - that's what I call needless killing.

5. Do you think animals are happy to live in zoos or circusses?
As happy as one can be in a cage and behind bars. (meaning: No. They aren't.)

6.Do you have a pet?
I once had, the usual kid's pets.

7. Is it okay to do animal testing?
It gave the humans very valuable and precious insights of how bodies work and react to drugs, medicine, desease factors.
Without these testing, we would be waaay behind the modern science status. Testing is needed sometimes, as it is needed to kill animals in order to get food.
But there is of course the factor of needless painful procedures, injecting stuff that has a severe impact on the phenotype of animals (knock-out mice, e.g.), and - as interesting the results may be, I cannot think of that without shivering.

No, I never could be. Besides, I don't feel bad about this. Humans are supposed to eat meat as well as apes or bears do.
And they don't feel bad about that either.

That's why it's called natural environment. ;-)

What I want to add: Torturing animals is not only animal testing or killing them to get meat. It starts where somebody breeds pets that cannot breathe (bulldogs, persian cats), walk (Schäferhunde, Dackel) or have no fur at all.
Or where some lady holds a small chiuaua dog that is not allowed to run around and is fed chocolate and sweets per hand before brought to dye the fur and polish the nails.
Or where those highly intelligent ara birds are held alone (!) in too small cages to please an old lady (cliché, I know... ^^)
Or lets talk about traditional Chinese medicine and all these dried out species some people there buy in order to get healthier or increase the manhood. Snakes, ape heads, turtles etc.

And I don't have to say that chopping the trees in the rain forest or polluing the oceans is as bad as that, too. Torturing and killing animals happens nearly everywhere, not as apparent and outrageous as animal testing might be, but before you start throwing rocks on me for maybe working in a lab one day, you should ask yourself in what ways animals are suffering, too.

It depends on the conditions they have to live in. In many zoos the conditions for animals are very good, so I think they are happy. (if they can be "happy")
In Circusses the conditions are often very bad.

Incredible 17 years ;D

Do I really have to write all that down? Would be an essay, don't feel like that at the moment. I think everybody knows the cruel pictures, storys about animals that are just "produced" (seems to me to be the right word) for medical experiments, are genetically mutated, etc.

oh no, they are crying the whole day ;D (I don't like these emotional questions...) shureley, they would have a better life in their original wildlife habitat, nevertheless, I also believe, that if the animals are born in the zoos they don't have that a bad life. But of course wildlife is better. because of their instincts, they wouldn't feel as well es in freedom.

Yes it is. It is worth, if some humans don't have to die for it. The human race has always killed animals to eat them, without, there are even doubts, whether the evolution had taken place in this way, as proteins would have been missing and they were a condition for brain development. if people eat animals and keep them to eat them to survive, then I believe that for making people survive, animal testin is ok. anyone who ist against it, should consider, that without animal testing, you wouldn't even have aspirin. so if you are considerably ill, you will shurely take the medicine. if you you really were consistent, you also wouldn't be allowed to take it, and eventually die.

no, I'm not. the human race has always been eating flesh. plants are also living creatures. How do you know, if they also don't have a soul?

whenever possible, they do. I should think, you should destroy as less as possible life. Everybody has a certain responsibility for the environment, but also for the human race. that's why i believe animal testing is ok, as long as there is no other possibility.
