Shishio Makoto is the primary antagonist of the series' Kyoto arc. Shishio is extremely ruthless and coldblooded. He lives by the belief that weak only exist for the benefit of the strong and generally appears devoid of compassion or mercy throughout the series.

However, he is not completely heartless. In spite of his sinister nature, he seems genuinely in love with Yumi Komagata whom he professed understood him as thoroughly as he understood her. He also possesses a dark sense of humor, claiming initially to Kenshin that he had enslaved an entire town so he could bathe in the hot springs with privacy.
Shishio displays very high intelligence, in some ways giving him something of an evil genius persona. He was a big danger for the new government, so it was decided to eliminate him – they doused him in oil and burned alive. But Shishio survived, sustaining severe damage to his entire body to the point that he must wear bandages day and night to cover his disfigured skin, giving him an appearance similar to a mummy.
Makotot Shishio is extremely crafty, being able to hide from the Meiji government despite their efforts to find him, and his plans nearly succeed in bringing them down.


Makoto Shishio war meine Rolle für das Stück „Der Teufel steckt im Detail“ von Daijoubu. Als wir Kenshin auswählten, kannte ich die Serie nicht einmal vom Hörensagen und dachte dementsprechend nicht, dass mich eine Rolle interessieren würde. Im Verlauf der Zeit, in der ich mich durch die Mangas und den Anime intensiver mit der Serie beschäftigte, wurde mir Shishio allerdings immer sympathischer. Er entwickelte sich sogar zu meiner Traumrolle und ich bekam sogar die Chance ihn darzustellen.

Das Cosplay an sich ist recht einfach gehalten, da es schließlich Bühnentauglich sein musste. Meine größte Liebe gilt hier aber dem Make up: meine Komplette Haut ist ein einziges Narbengewebe geworden *~*
Ich fühl mich sehr wohl drin und ob man es glaubt oder nicht – Shishio ist sehr bequem zu tragen!

Ich freue mich schon SO sehr darauf ihn wieder zu tragen, zusammen mit meiner wunderschönen  -Yuki-sama- als Yumi und der genialen Firi_Akira als Soujiro.
