| While watching Ponyo i had two thoughts: Why is it so .... non-Miyasaki, so sweet without pitchpoint and so not Mind-opening like the others. Its a small children version of the little mermaid with happy ending. Okay i admit, that i used to draw an Happy End to the little mermaid to, but i was 17 then. Its long ago and was more the same story as the weird magician and the even weirder Goddess. Well i'm not convinced. And the second thought. Why wasn't the weird Goddess more kickass. The ocean isn't gentle and red-haired. Its fierce and unforgiving. Therefor i drew a spirit of the Water. A fierce Spirit. And OH MY GOD have you seen the "Firebird" part in Disney Fantasia 2000. I love it. Its so wonderful and fantastic and interpretive. I have to do fanart for it^^ And oh. I did the stamp myself. The hold is a dragon winding around a cliff. i'll upload it when i have a decent photo Copic Marker with Fineliner on Canson marker paper (little bit smaller than DinA4) |

Also das Bild gefällt mir stilistisch wie technisch wirklich wahnsinnig gut!
Dieses dezente, wie Aqua es schon angesprochen hat... bei solchen Stilen ist es immer etwas schwer das richtige abzupassen und das ist dir bei dem Bild gelungen! Nicht zu wenig nicht zu viel. Der Brustpanzer, diese einzelnen Steinchen kompensieren dieses flächig minimalistische. Die Haare, nein die ganze Figur ist fantastisch. Das ist bisher das beste Bild, dass ich von dir gesehen habe.

Es ist perfekt, so wie es ist könnte es glatt eine Illustration aus einem Märchenbuch sein.
