His humor is darker than black and his mimics often do not tell much about his thoughts.
His stature is trained and muscular.

Personality:
As mentioned Paolo di Redichi is a stoic person. His character is very italian, which means he has some problems with his temper.
He has little patience with fools.
But a great sense of honour.
And he is a man of deep faith and fear of god.
He fears nothing more than the purgatory, because he is an assasin.
Everyday he breaks the most important commitment.
"Thou shalt not kill. "
That's why he mortifies himself; to sample the pain of his victim and to be forgiven his sins.
He goes on confession regularly, but is just quiet spectator at the church service cowering in the truss of the chapels of Roma.

But still, Paolo is no humble man.
No he enjoys life with every breath.
Whores and courtesans and other women, wine, games, music and dance.
Paolo enjoys the great opportunities that Rome gives for Night-life.

Biography:
Paolo was born and raised in Rome, as the son of a well situated merchant.
He had the opportunity to learn and study in the hands of a private teacher.
He was going to take over his fathers business... or so he thought.
But the Borgia took over the power.
That changed the situation.
The family di Redichi lost pretty much everything as his father denied to collaborate with the Borgia-clan.
His father was executed and his mother died from sadness when Paolo was twenty years old. So he and his sister were alone.
Alone in Romas Streets. They had no roof over their heads and were living from hand to mouth. But that should not be the worst.
The Borgia wanted to diminish that family to the very last one, and then a fateful day came, as Paolo was defending his sister, as the Borgia-henchmen send for them attacked.
Ezio Auditore appeared, like Paolo should later learn, that it was his kind, out of the shadows and rescued him and his sister.
Because he had been saved by the headmaster of the Assasins Brotherhood he owed him his live, and was in his services, ever since.
His sister became a courtesan, working at the Rose in Fiore.
