Fading to Dust III

Everything worked out rather smooth up until the point where Al-Tharmen summoned a bunch of creatures all of a sudden. There were even black djinns between them, something Koumei miscalculated. No one would have thought that now, half a year after the Magnostadt incident was solved, new monsters like that would appear. It were almost ten of them, coming from all directions and attacked without giving it a thought. Luckily Kouen and his siblings were able to get rid off one after another by combining their strength and abilities. The small monsters were just drowned in flames around the oldest prince. While Kougyoku, Kouha and Koumei were fighting against the remaining five djinns, Kouen directed his attacks towards the henchmen of Al-Tharmen directly. Why bother with the tail of a snake if you can just cut off it’s head he thought, but it was a terrible mistake. The three black clothed members of the organisation were just sacrifices to lure the oldest one away from his siblings.

It was Hakuryuu who appeared out of nowhere and attacked the redhead’s siblings. Koumei realized quickly that Kougyoku was unable to fight her cousin and Kouha was just to weak to deal with the aggressive way of fighting for too long. He send them away with a transfer circle, but his attempt to talk to that prince in front of him failed. Why did that boy join this group? A glance back to the others and Kouen could not believe what he witnessed there in midair. Two of them were missing and there was Hakuryuu. It was an odd situation by all means, and the moment that boy raised his weapon against his freckled brother, Kouen knew that something was terribly wrong. Of course Koumei was on guard and tried to deflect the massive magic which was directed at him, but he was not able to handle it. Kouen could only watch what happened to his younger brother.

"Why did you do that, you little shit? Running off to Sindria at first and now allying with them? What a lowly traitor you are…” he growled. It was and angered expression on the surface, but on the inside he was heartbroken. That man he shared so many memories with. He was not even able to remember a day where they weren’t together even though there were two years of age between them. Why couldn’t you just have died as oldie? Why? I wanted you to teach my children everything that is necessary and I wanted you to grow old with our own family. You can’t just leave me. You are my adviser, my brother… My best friend!

"You will pay for this you little brat. I’ll make sure I’ll strip off that djinn of yours and then your skin for what you just did. Maybe you’ll suffer some burns before. We’ll see, but you better prepare for something terribly painful."
