Herbert and Alfred - Vampires in the Modern World

After cosplaying Herbert and Alfred at FBM, we felt inspired to create a little scene from our headcanon, of them living together as vampires in the modern day where Herbert is as flamboyant as ever, loves shopping, fashion, and expensive sparkly things. Alfred is the long-suffering bag-carrier, but loves Herbert too much to be really bothered by it. <3

I styled both outfits, and would like to write a little synopsis about them....

Alfred:
I imagined Alfred would try to "fit in", even as a vampire, so I took a lot of inspiration for him from some college students I know.
Alfred to me is cozy, practical, and cute. I kept the main part of his outfit quite close to his original version - similar colours, with a big cardigan instead of a jacket, skinny jeans instead of breeches, and creepers for a fashionable twist. Of course, he still carries the obligatory bag (likely now filled with Herbert's purse, phone, make-up, etc…!)
I deliberately made his make up less "white" than Herbert's, to show he is still somewhat more in touch with his human side.

Herbert:
Herbert was a lot of fun to style. Unlike Alfred, who is trying not to stand out in a crowd, I figured Herbert would be as provocative as ever - as an androgynous gay man, as a vampire, as someone from a different time.
I wanted him to look fashionable but very "out of the box" and rebellious. I took a lot of inspiration from his stage costumes, especially the "rock chic" elements of the finale outfit from the Budapest / new Vienna productions. I gave him skinny-fit shiny pants with a silver pattern as a nod to his tight silver breeches, accented with a studded belt, punky yet still elegant boots, a sparkly jacket he could flap around in, and a fur hat so the wind would not mess up his hair.
His make up was a very toned down version of his stage make up, with more realistic shading. He is enjoying all the different sorts of make up the world has to offer, but he is not really trying to hide the fact that he is not human.

- "But Herbert, we have been doing this for HOURS!"
