Wander in the desert sand
With heavy load
Animals around
Poverty you see

Destroy the houses
Heal the wounds
In a room
Poverty and war

Stand in endless lines
Wait for water
Thirst you feel
Poverty it is

Cry for your child
He will die
It is all around
In poverty is death

Feed the hungry
Help to survive
There are people who do care
Though poverty and war
