Two Lonely Hearts

Chapter Zero- Prologue:

Can you feel it?
Do you want it?
Or do you deny it
and pretend nothing happened?

I know you know it
and you know I know it.
This feeling…

We both have our masks on around other people.
And when we are alone…

I seek loneliness and peace,
but I can’t get it.
Not with this feeling…

You crave companionship and joy,
but you can’t get it.
Not with this feeling…

I’m ice and you’re fire.
We cannot be with each other, 
but without, either.

We both won’t accept it, 
because when we do,
things will change.
Everything around us will change.

Are you afraid?
Yes, you are.

Do you fear the outcome,
when we do it?
Yes, you do.

And that’s why we are what we are now,
two lonely hearts…


Am I afraid of the others reaction?
Yes, I am.

Do I fear the future,
what will bring us?
Yes, I do.
And that’s why we can’t do the things other people do so easily.

No, we can’t do it, 
although we’re crying deep inside  to feel the other’s presence, 
the other’s touch.
No, we can’t do it,
despite the gravitation for each other.
We have to put our masks on in front of the others,
and live the life we’re supposed to live.

We are like day and night,
light and darkness.
We want it,
seek it,
crave it,
but we can’t have it.

And that makes us to enemies, 
to two lonely humans,
with two lonely hearts…
