Dear Kishimoto, you were not able to make NaruSaku die. _______ Actually we’re not that much in fandoms anymore but still we suddenly felt the urge to draw this. We just couldn’t help it. We just have to make our opinion towards the pairing “outcomes” of the NARUTO manga public. Once we used to be supporters of the “classical” NARUTO ships like SasuSaku, NaruHina and ShikaIno. Concerning ShikaIno nothing has changed. Shikamaru and Ino are just made for each other ♥ SasuSaku and NaruHina are a completely other matter. The way the Naruto manga went on, the way it was written, the way the characters were developing made us believe in NaruSaku. It made us feel NaruSaku. And it made us approve of NaruSaku. A pairing we have hated before. And now we’re strongly of the opinion that NaruSaku is the real canon pairing of this manga. For NaruHina and SasuSaku the whole manga had to be written differently. The ending of the manga in general felt forced, heartless and just wrong. The characters feel so badly treated and debased. And the pairings feel so out of place, so imposed and just not developed at all. Okay, Kishimoto could just have told us Sasuke and Sakura, and Naruto and Hinata fell in love with each other (although it was totally undeveloped during the manga) and are living happily together now. Fine. But the worst thing: They are not happy. Take a look at the NARUTO Gaiden short story with Sarada, take a look at the extra chapter for the Boruto movie. All of the four characters seem to be unhappy (or blind). All their character development was thrown away and there’s not a single scene that shows real love, neither between Naruto and Hinata, nor between Sasuke and Sakura. What Kishimoto has done to Sakura is the worst. That’s even beyond sexism… it’s just… heartless. Yes, heartless. That’s how about the last quarter of the NARUTO manga plus its “new era” feel. Heartless. Cruel. Soulless. Callous. It’s pure commerce. Looking at what NARUTO became, we do not see a story with developed characters and a passionate creator behind it. We only see commerce. Nothing more. What NARUTO is now is just sad. A real disappointment. But there have once been nice characters. With interesting developments. With strong bonds. And one of these bonds is the one between Naruto and Sakura. We dedicate this picture to all NaruSaku fans out there. To us you are the ones holding the real NARUTO canon ship. Ich bin so traurig, dass die Beiden nicht das Ende von Naruto Shippuden darstellen.
Das war und ist die einzig Wahre Liebe in dem Genre gewesen :(

Ja, wir hatten auch den Eindruck, zwischen Naruto und Sakura hätte sich so etwas wie Liebe entwickelt - das ganze Ende des Mangas wirkte auf uns nicht sonderlich nachvollziehbar...

Dein Text spricht mir aus der Seele und allein der Naruto Gaiden hat uns gezeigt wie verkorkst die Beziehung von Sakura und Sasuke allein schon ist.
