At Samezuka Academy he becomes friends with Akaya, whom he shares a room with. He also tries to come on to him although he knows he's engaged. Later, him and Cas make up and get back together. Unfortunately, it turns out Cas is an Omega and they become parents. Never wanting to have children, Zane distances himself from his family and plays around with other people, partying all the time which he excuses as being necessary for his career as a musician. When Cas breaks up with him for good, he realizes that he'll never get a love like that again and when trying to get back togter doesn't work, he occupies himself with partners similar to Cas. Luckily, he tries to be a good father to Sabrina when he never was for Aiden.
