He grew up mainly at his grandparent's home since his parents couldn't give him the care he needed which often leads to him feeling unwanted and a burden even though no one of his family sees him that way. Iori gets along best with Mizuki and spends a lot of time with Akaya as well since they're always together. He takes on a protective role over his older brother since he's so naive and needs guidance sometimes. Akaya and Iori have a love-hate relationship which is mainly due to their fights over Mizuki but generally they get along well. Iori tried to date in his teens but his asexuality made things difficult and left him with unpleasant experiences that lead him to not wanting a relationship later on. His best friend is his bunny Umi whom he cares for a lot and is distraught when she dies after 14 years. Luckily he has Berry to console him by that time.
