| My contribution to Djamila Knopfs DTIYS challange. It was a lot of fun working on this piece as I had no clear direction where the journey of this image will lead me. The flowery decor was partly inspired by Djamilas Work, but partly because I kinda enjoy drawing flowers right now. While Painting this image I had a very weird situation where this image felt very imersive. Like..I was able to smell this image in a literal sense. Feeling the sun on my skin, the smell of roses and summer. I never had this type of feeling ever before. haha! While picking the colors I also had image of "the Swing" by Jean-Antoine Watteau in my head. I was inspired by those colors and so I tried to have a similar approach but also tried to stay true to Djamilas Original painting. |
